CENTENNIAL, Colo. (May 2, 2019)  — NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) is pleased to announce, further to its previously announced non-brokered private placement (the “Private Placement”) of units (the “Units”) of the Company, that it has increased the maximum gross proceeds of the Private Placement to C$1.75 million from the original maximum of C$1.2 million.

Each Unit issued pursuant to the Private Placement will consist of one common share in the capital of the Company (a “Common Share”) and one-half of one Common Share purchase warrant (each whole warrant, a “Warrant”). Each Warrant will entitle the holder thereof to purchase one additional Common Share at a price of C$0.72 until the date that is two years following the date of issuance.

The Company closed the first tranche of the Private Placement on April 29, 2019 for approximately C$1 million and expects to close a second tranche of up to C$750,000 on or about May 8, 2019.

Proceeds from the Private Placement will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.

NioCorp is developing a superalloy materials project in Southeast Nebraska with an aim to produce Niobium, Scandium, and Titanium.
